Etna Poodles is born from the passion for animals, since we were children we have always been captivated by their unconditional love and bond with humans. We have raised and continue to do so many species of animals: Peruvian guinea pigs, canaries, parrots of different species including Agapornis Personatus, Ring-necked Parakeets, and Cockatiels (@Etna Parrots, for those who want to explore further), reptiles, fish, etc... always accompanied by our four-legged friends, strictly rescued from the streets or unwanted litters.
And now the Poodle... why?
We desired a four-legged friend who could share our home with us and could follow us "everywhere" but at the same time be suitable in size and characteristics for domestic life.
After some time, various research and a lot of study, we came to the Poodle, it does not shed and therefore does not cause allergy problems, it is soft like a plush toy and has four different sizes to choose from, all important elements for those who decide to welcome it into their home.
Furthermore, it has a sweet character, a lively and attentive temperament suitable even for living with children and other animals, and then... have you ever tried looking into its eyes?
Well, we have, and we were captivated! Its eyes speak and those soft fluffy curls make you lose your mind, try it to believe it!
From this love at first sight, our passion was born. Now we select with ETHICS, a lot of love, passion, and commitment this marvelous canine breed, strictly with ENCI Pedigree. All breeding dogs are carefully evaluated for morphology, character, and health, undergo medical checks, clinical tests, and certified orthopedic exams, to ensure a meticulous selection aimed at improving and preserving the breed.

Our amateur breeding is exclusively "purebred" for poodles in the colors FOXY (RED - APRICOT) and GRAY (SILVER) and in sizes TOY and MINIATURE we do not focus on quantity, but essentially on the quality and health of our breeding dogs, which is why we do not always have puppies available.
If possible, we prefer to breed using Line-breeding, a method that makes it easier to obtain a homogeneous offspring (type, size, character, etc..) but to maintain a certain genetic variability - which is very important - we often resort to out-crossing pairings using external stallions from innovative bloodlines.
We attend dog shows because the judgments of expert judges are the basis of good selection, helping us understand the quality of our work, which line to follow, which to abandon, and where to improve.
All our dogs live in a family environment within the home at every stage of their life. During pregnancy, the mothers are constantly monitored, we perform ultrasounds and x-rays to prevent any possible issues, their diet will be adjusted, and they will be given vitamin and mineral supplements with 24-hour assistance.
Raising the puppies within the family will accustom them to human presence, contact with children and other animals, they will be exposed to various external experiences, trained in the context, and taught not to soil indoors in order to obtain puppies that are more sociable and balanced. From a prophylactic point of view, the puppies receive regular deworming and the required vaccination cycle by law.
All births are regularly reported to the ASP with the insertion of a microchip and to the ENCI (Italian National Dog Registry) to obtain their PEDIGREE from which the genealogy can be viewed. During their growth, our puppies are checked by a veterinarian and will not be delivered before 80/90 days from birth, considering the right time for separation from the mother.
